 Blackduck Valley
Since I was up in QLD for the mini bike Australian titles I thought I would make a trip of it and stay up for a few weeks prior to King of the coast and get some practice time with Harry and Schuie.
So I headed up to sunny coast the Monday after the races, a little hung over I might add after I celebrated long and hard at Fisho’s on the Sunday night! I think from memory I got turfed out for being to drunk! Thanks to Guy buying me vodka and red bull all night. Ha ha! na, thanks mate…
After a 2 hr drive up to Harry’s I was pretty much stuffed and hit the hay. When we woke up the next morning as it turned out it was to wet to ride his compound so we decided to take a drive out to Blackduck Valley for a day. I had never been out there but had heard great things about the place so it was a good chance to check it out, and I must say all the things I heard were true and I had one of the best days riding I have had for a long time.
Motocross tracks everywhere and well kept tracks at that, I rode my ass off all day going through more fuel than I usually use in a week, 100ft + tabletops on some tracks. FMX ramps to hit. Even a long distance ramp I ended up jumping around 150ft on. It really was a good day and I will defiantly be heading back out there next time im up this way.
