The last leg of my USA trip. - 14 August 2006
Heading out to the desert, with only a few days left in the states we plan to head over to Palm Desert to catch up with Jon Freeman and Jon Guetter.

Half way through the mountains we decide this might be a good opportunity to see what these hummer things go like off road. So we size up the biggest mountain we can find choose the best goat track up it, lock everything down and charge our way up it.

Who would have guessed that a car this big could clear small double jumps.

Traction control and anti lock brakes saved our lives more than once as there were cliffs on either side of the road; mind you it was an incredible view from the top.

Palm desert is an incredible place, like an oasis in the desert. Nothing but palm trees, golf courses and multi million dollar houses. Freeman’s place backs straight on to the 18 green, handy if you are a golf fan – which he is!

So after several coronas we boarded Freeman’s custom mini hummer golf buggy, which was still sporting some injuries from Seth when he tried to jump it out of a sand trap, we decide to play the three holes that lead up the to La Quinta resort for some Cadillac margaritas.

Golf players we are not, more balls were sunk in the lakes than the holes. But come to the bar, and drinkers we are.
We had Mexican again that night, we ate Mexican almost every night. Its so good over there.

Well That is pretty much my X games experience in a nut shell.

All in all this was defiantly a trip to remember, double flips, Bilko's Bronze, Crusty riders dominating everything and catching up with alot of old crew.

Till next time.

Seeup!
